“The consultation has now closed - Thank you to everyone who signed the petition and responded to the consultation. I've continued to work with local leaders to influence the decision given how strongly people have told me they feel about this. We expect a formal update from the NHS in March, I'll keep you updated.” — Eleanor

Fight to save children's cancer care at St George's Hospital from closure

NHS England are proposing just one specialist children's cancer unit serving families from across south London and most of the South East of England. They are choosing between St George's Hospital in Tooting, and the Evelina Hospital in Central London.

NHS bosses have made clear their preference for setting up a new centre at Evelina, which would mean the loss of our local children's cancer services and all the expertise the team there have. This would also mean families - from Wimbledon and much further beyond - will have to travel further into central London for treatment.

Parents of children with cancer say they don't feel their voice has been heard, and St George’s is fighting to save its services. I’m helping them.

Please complete the consultation which is is open until 18th December, and fill in my petition to be kept updated.
